About Sasja

Born in Utrecht, the Netherlands . Now works and lives with her husband 2 children in Rotterdam. In 2003 I started to paint harbourlandscapes. At this moment I am widening my focus on buildingsite and otherdynamic places, mostly in Rotterdam. I am fond of the dynamics of the city. Places which change almost every day. Like harbours, steel, concrete and other industrial materials give me enormous inspiration. In 2008 I had a soloshow in the modern museum of Shanghai and after that I did several (solo) international shows. Since then I work mainly on commission large sized paintings. At this moment I am working on a documentary- project named Part of Rotterdam. Now 130 small paintings of the city.
